I lugged a large-format Graflex camera to the downtown Salt Lake location of Even Stevens sandwiches for their third annual beard and mustache competition benefiting the Utah Food Bank. The fabulous Friar Tuck's barber shop was on hand to host and dozens of dapper gentle-dudes with an abundance of styled facial hair stepped up to see whose would win out. After the show, each contestant to a seat in front of my lens to get their old-timey portrait taken. I developed them the next day in the dark room and voila--check out my favorites below.

I also set up my instant film photo booth for the event.
