Tying the Knot at 8300 feet

October 7, 2016

Lookout Cabin at Park City Mountain Resort has got to be one of the most beautiful venues in Utah. It's cozy and intimate, with limited space for a more private party, has insanely delicious food, and you get the ski lift all to yourself when you rent the place out. Though hauling my gear on the bubble express up to Holli and Ben's ceremony was a little nerve-wracking at first, the half-hour chairlift ride down the hill at 11 at night was an eerie, but pleasant, experience. Hailing from California, Holli and Ben chose Park City as their destination wedding venue from Holli's childhood memories skiing at what was formerly The Canyons. Their celebration of blending families was lovely to capture (and Lookout definitely wins for best vendor meal of the season). See some of my favorite shots below.

And other things:

A tourist visiting North Korea managed to smuggle out amazing photos of everyday life he illegally shot during his visit.

Kevin Wisbeth's photo composites help put really, really big things into perspective.

In his quirky series "A Movable Beast," Norwegian photographer Helge Skodvin explores the process of moving a natural history museum's entire taxidermy collection.
