Ode to Yashica
August 28, 2015
This is why the Yashica 635 TLR is my favorite camera to shoot with: I can load it with any film (aside from the fact that it's dual format), shoot in any conditions, tow it around wherever the hell I feel like in whatever case I have available (usually my torn up beat-ass purse), and it says to me, "Screw you, I do what I want." And then ceaselessly delivers outstanding photos that I'm always excited to see. Yashi and I recently had our first Bryce Canyon experience together, and I managed to lug it seven miles through the hoodoos. Once again, I fell in love with medium format and can't wait to get out and shoot some more.
Look at some other stuff:
This beautiful photo series by Izabela Urbaniak shows her kids whiling their summer away in the countryside free of technology.
When selfie sticks make it to Mars.
This guy sat on a dead whale carcass in order to grab a shot of a great white shark. Surprisingly, he's not dead.
